The Cinema tent of Positivus festival has always been a special treat for the visual arts lovers, screening the best international and local feature movies and documentaries, and offering a specially selected short film program. This year Lattelecom Cinema tent will be bigger than ever and additionally offer discussions for the cinema connoisseurs, professionals and fans. Program includes the best films from local cinematography as well cinematic pieces that are critically acclaimed worldwide.

Lattelecom Cinema will be open every day from early morning till late night, and during the three days there will be more than 40 hours of cinema and different discussions offered to the movie gourmets. As every year, in co-operation with local and international producers, Lattelecom Cinema program includes movies for kids, entertainment, some food for thought, experimental and fashion movies, short films and various talks. The program features latest movies from the Baltics, including the acclaimed Mellow Mud, Ausma, Exiled and Summer of Sangaile.

Riga International Film Festival will showcase the latest short movies made by students from Latvia and our neighboring countries. Riga Film Museum will provide a special surprise from the archives of Latvian movie-magazine. Every day with the fall of dusk Latvian movie bloggers and distributors from Spektrs will entertain spectators with humor, horror and fairytales, including a special screening of movie Green Room. For the first time in Positivus festival there will be a showcase of fashion movie collection prepared specially for the festival.

Lattelecom Cinema tent will also host several talks and discussions that will put a spotlight on socially important subjects in the context of cinematographic opportunities, providing a unique opportunity for the festival-goers to ask their burning questions.
