Mark Ronson will perform on the Main stage on Friday night

Mark Ronson is one of the hottest music producers and DJs and on Friday night he will perform on the Lattelecom Stage with a DJ set created especially for the festival’s anniversary. The Uptown Funk hitmaker will replace Ellie Goulding who had been forced to pull out due to being unwell. Ellie Goulding sent a message for her fans in Latvia: “I am sorry I can’t be with you this weekend. I am unwell and have been advised not to fly. I was excited about these gigs so will hopefully be back next year.”

At the moment Mark Ronson is one of the hottest names in the music industry. Not only is he a successful producer, but also a talented solo artist and DJ who feels free in variety of musical genres – starting from hip-hop and electronics to alternative rock. He has collaborated with artists like Kaiser Chiefs, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Robbie Williams, Lilly Allen, Christina Aguilera, Macy Grey, Duran Duran and many more. Mark Ronson set the Positivus Main stage on fire back in 2011, when he performed with his band Mark Ronson & The Business Intl.

Last year Mark Ronson released the album Uptown Special, which is dedicated to Amy Winehouse. The single Uptown Funk performed with Bruno Mars received two Grammy Awards – The Record of the Year and The Best Live Performance. Ronson has received another Grammy as a producer of the hit Locked Out of Heaven by Bruno Mars.
