POSITIVUS FESTIVAL WILL TAKE PLACE IN RIGA

After unforgettable 13 years in Salacgriva, during which the popular music and art festival Positivus has become a special event in many lives of people will start a new beginning in 2022. Positivus festival will take place in the capital city Riga. The list of musicians who have visited the Positivus festival so far is so impressive that sometimes it’s hard to believe it. We are thankful for everyone who has experienced at least one of the festival’s concerts because we know that these memories will stay with us forever. Positivus festival will continue to delight thousands of people at the new place in Riga, Lucavsala on July 15th and 16th, 2022.

The organizer of the festival Ģirts Majors about the decision to hold the festival in Riga: “Every year the struggle for the artists we want to see at the festival becomes fiercer and visitors also have more and more choice in terms of attending concerts, so we need to think about how the festival could develop and continue to grow. In our opinion, the course of the festival in the largest city in Latvia and the Baltics will give our festival great opportunities for the future.”

“The largest music and art festival in the Baltics will be home to the largest city in the Baltics! This is great news for Riga and the entrepreneurs of our city. Every metropolis needs big events that promote tourism, benefiting the city’s cafes, hotels and merchants. The Positivus festival will also provide an additional opportunity to popularize Riga in the world, strengthening the image of our city beyond the borders of Latvia. And finally, the course of the festival in the capital of Latvia will mean a lot of unforgettable and positive emotions for all of us! ” – highlights the Mayor of Riga Mārtiņš Staķis.

Positivus festival is the largest popular music and art festival in the Baltics, which has taken place in Salacgrīva since 2007 and has gathered up to 30,000 music lovers from Latvia and abroad every festival year.
