Calvin Harris’ spectacular performance at Mežaparks Great Bandstand on August 6 will be joined by special guests – American house music legend MK and one of the most internationally recognised electronic music artists from the Baltics, Syn Cole.
MK, real name Marc Kinchen, is one of dance music’s first superstars. The Detroit native rose to prominence early in his career with tracks such as “Always”, “Burning”, “4You” and “Just A Dream”, released under his 4th Measure Men alias, which became some of the most influential house records of the 1990s. His iconic take on Nightcrawlers’ “Push The Feeling On” helped put the group on the map, while his later rework of Storm Queen’s “Look Right Through” reached No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart. MK’s catalogue now boasts over 1 billion global streams, with remixes and releases connected to artists including Lana Del Rey, Rihanna, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding and Disclosure.
Syn Cole is a music producer, songwriter and DJ from Pärnu, Estonia. He started out on Avicii’s LE7ELS record label and management, where he released music for six years and developed the melodic, energetic sound that brought him to a wider international audience. Today, his singles and remixes have reached more than 1.4 billion total streams on YouTube and Spotify, including 101 million Spotify streams in 2023 alone.
On August 6, Calvin Harris, one of the world’s most successful electronic music artists, will perform at Mežaparks Great Bandstand in Riga. The large-scale open-air show is set to become one of the biggest music events of the summer in the region, bringing together lasers, impressive lighting, video and a wide range of special effects. The production will bring the energy and atmosphere of the world’s biggest dance music festivals to Mežaparks Great Bandstand.
Due to the high level of interest in the event, organisers strongly advise fans to purchase tickets only through official sales channels and not via classifieds, social media or other unverified sources, as there is a high risk of counterfeit tickets. All tickets will be electronically scanned at the entrance, allowing invalid tickets to be detected immediately.
