American folk rock stars The Lumineers and British alternative rock veterans Maximo Park will join the 11th Positivus Festival event programme, taking place from July 14 – 16.

The Lumineers single Ho Hey rocked global charts and dominated them straight after its release, bringing their folk rock energy to millions of listeners across the world. Since then, The Lumineers have released two chart topping albums, been nominated for Grammy, Billboard and Americana Music Honours & Awards, played hundreds of shows at clubs and overcrowded arenas and have become an overall inspiration for countless other musicians. Having proved that folk rock shouldn’t be bound to any specific location, The Lumineers create their luminous, harmonious and vibrant sound with the help of both traditional and modern instruments, as well as their utterly disarming melodies. The Lumineers will perform on Sunday, July 16 on the festival’s main stage – Lattelecom stage.

British alternative rockers Maximo Park have been performing since the dawn of this century, continuously boasting their dynamic signature sound of bewildering romance. With their debut album being nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize, more than a decade later, Maximo Park still maintain a constant level of dynamic quality to their music. Their anticipated upcoming record – Risk to Exist is due to be released this April. The formidable rockers have lately embarked on a love affair with electronic music, creating an excitingly contemporary sound that’s appreciated by certified rock devotees, indie aficionados and electronica enthusiasts alike. Skilfully balancing rock, new wave and postmodernism essences, Maximo Park offer energising party music for grown ups. We’ll experience their amazing show on Friday, July 14 on the festival’s main stage – Lattelecom stage.
